Egg ‘n’ Cheese Dog from Ferme Avicole Laviolette Ltée

2 eggs
2 tbsp water 30ml
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tsp butter or margarine 5ml
Cheddar cheese slices
Or cubes or process
Cheese slices
1 Hot dog bun, toasted 

In a small owl, whisk eggs with water, salt and pepper.

In an 8-inch (20cm) skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.  When hot, pour egg mixture into skillet.  As mixture begins to set, use a tuner to gently push cooked portions toward the centre.  Tilt the skillet to allow uncooked portions to flow into empty spaces.  When eggs are almost set on top, slide omelette onto a plate.  Place cheese slices in a line on omelette, close to one end.  Roll up, starting at end with cheese.  Place rolled omelette in bun.

Makes 1 serving

Tips:

  • Serve with ketchup, mustard, salsa or hot sauce.
  • Tuck bacon strips in bun with omelette.
